The Long Goodbye
Privatdetektiv Philip Marlowe bringt seinen Freund Terry Lennox über die Grenze nach Mexiko. Wieder zuhause wird er von der Polizei als vermeintlicher Fluchthelfer verhaftet, denn Lennox soll seine Frau ermordet haben. Der Versuch, Lennox Unschuld zu beweisen, wird durch dessen angeblichen Selbstmord nicht eben erleichtert. Und je tiefer Marlowe in das mysteriöse Geschehen eindringt, desto mehr gerät er selbst in Gefahr.
