The Island of Dr. Moreau
Der Schiffsingenieur Andrew Braddock wird nach einem Bootsunglück an den Strand einer paradiesischen Insel gespült. Doch so verlassen, wie die Insel wirkt, ist sie nicht. Schon bald lernt Braddock den verstörend-charismatischen Eigentümer der Insel, den Wissenschaftler Dr, Moreau kennen, der ihn bereitwillig aufnimmt und ihn auch seinem Mündel, der schönen Maria, vorstellt. Schon bald gibt die Fauna der Insel mit ihren merkwürdig menschenaehnlichen Tieren Braddock immer schauerlichere Rätsel auf und ehe er sich versieht ist er selbst Teil eines Experiments und schwebt in höchster Lebensgefahr.
