Roy Tucker sitzt wegen Mordes im Knast. Er hat den Ehemann seiner Freundin Ellie getötet und die hat ihn in all den Jahren nicht besucht. Eines Tages bekommt er ein Angebot, das er nicht ausschlagen kann... Der mysteriöse Maurice bietet ihm sofortige Entlassung, ein gefülltes Bankkonto und ein Wiedersehen mit Ellie. Als Gegenleistung soll er der Organisation irgendwann einen „Gefallen“ tun. Tucker willigt ein, wird dadurch aber zu einer Marionette. Das Syndikat verbietet ihm Kontakt zu seinen alten Bekannten und überwacht ihn ununterbrochen. Und dann bekommt er seinen Auftrag: Er soll von einem Helikopter aus einen ranghohen US-Politiker erschießen. Tucker hat keine Wahl und tut das Unausweichliche...
