Eigentlich will die smarte Archäologin Alice Carter (Morena Baccarin, „Serenity – Flucht in neue Welten“) nur die Kulissen des berühmten Films „Die Zehn Gebote“ ausgraben. Regisseur Cecille B. DeMille hatte diese nach Abschluss der Dreharbeiten seltsamer Weise in der Wüste vergraben lassen. Plötzlich taucht Noch-Ehemann Jesse (Adam Baldwin, „Jackpot“) am Ort des Geschehens auf und als Alice bemerkt, dass die angeblichen Dekostücke aus dem Film alte Relikte aus dem antiken Ägypten sind, wird ein echter Horrortrip ausgelöst.
