Museums-Nachtwächter Larry Daley muss sich in seinem Job einmal mehr mit einigen übernatürlichen, historischen Komplikationen herumschlagen. Diesmal wird das British Museum in London von dem Spuk heimgesucht. Mit von der Partie sind Daleys alte Freunde Teddy Roosevelt, Miniatur-Cowboy Jedediah, Sacajawea, Attila der Hunne und Pharao Ahkmenrah, dessen magische Tafel für die Erweckung des Museumsinventars überhaupt erst verantwortlich ist.
