Jumping the Broom
Sabrina Watson (Paula Patton, Precious) und Jason Taylor (Laz Alonso, Fast & Furious) sind wie füreinander geschaffen. Leider sorgen ihre Familien für Zündstoff. Mrs. Watson (Angela Bassett, Green Lantern) ist schrecklich vornehm, passend zu ihrem Familienanwesen auf Martha's Vineyard, auf dem Jasons Mom (Loretta Devine, Sterben für Anfänger) mit ihrem rauen Brooklyn-Charme vollkommen fehl am Platz ist. Als beide Familien sich auf Jasons und Sabrinas Hochzeit begegnen, wird schnell klar, dass beide unterschiedliche Familientraditionen und auch Geheimnisse haben. Wo Klunker und Kiez aufeinandertreffen, kommt die Wahrheit ans Licht - und bleibt nur eine Frage offen: wird das Paar die bitteren Nebenwirkungen der Liebe überstehen und am Ende den traditionellen "Sprung über den Besen" vollführen?
