Ben Holmes ist unterwegs von New York nach Savannah, wo er seine Verlobte Bridget heiraten will. Traditionell gab es am Abend zuvor den Junggesellenabend, bei dem ihm seine Kumpel eine Stripperin präsentierten, die so überwältigend war, dass Bens Opa mit einem Herzanfall ins Krankenhaus muss. Das soll ein schlechtes Omen sein, aber nur der Auftakt für das, was an den folgenden Tagen passiert. Als Ben - von Flugangst gepeinigt, das Flugzeug nach Savannah besteigt, nimmt Sarah Lewis den freien Platz neben ihm ein. Sie war ihm schon im Flughafengebäude aufgefallen, weil sie sich doch recht heftig von ihrem Partner verabschiedet hatte.
