For the Boys
1942 wird die Sängerin Dixie Leonard nach England geflogen, um vor den Jungs der US Army als neue Partnerin des Entertainers Eddie Sparks aufzutreten. Mit großen Erfolg. Eddie hofft, an ihrer Seite den Durchbruch zu schaffen: Zusammen tingeln sie die Fronten entlang. Bei ihrer Rückkehr nach Amerika erhält Dixie die Nachricht, daß ihr Mann gefallen ist. Nach Erfolgen im TV geht das in Haßliebe miteinander verbundene Showpaar an die Front in Korea. Dort kommt es zum ersten Bruch, als Eddie auf Geheiß seiner Bosse ihren Autor Art entläßt. Auch Dixie wendet sich von Eddie ab.
